CHELSEA, Mass. — Chelsea firefighters rescued three people trapped in an apartment fire on Sept. 14.
Residents of a Congress Avenue apartment awoke to thick smoke, with some trapped on the third floor, CBS Boston reported.
Firefighters used a ladder tower to rescue occupants trapped on the top floor. They noted the rescue was dangerous due to power lines being very close to the window they needed to access.
The three people rescued were treated for smoke inhalation and transported to a hospital. No firefighters were injured.
More than a dozen people were displaced by the fire, which is still under investigation.
