US Army Awards $247M Contract to Serco for Holistic Health and Fitness System – SOFREP News Team

The US Army is stepping up its game when it comes to soldier health and readiness. They recently handed Serco Inc. a $247 million contract to boost troop performance through the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System.

This groundbreaking program is all about helping soldiers stay strong—physically, mentally, and reportedly even spiritually—while also cutting down on injuries and speeding up recovery times.

It’s a big deal and shows just how serious the Army is about taking care of its people in today’s challenging world. Let’s take a closer look!

What Is the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System?

The H2F System is a groundbreaking program designed to sustain and improve the physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, and spiritual health of soldiers. By integrating these five domains, the Army aims to ensure that its personnel are not only combat-ready but also capable of enduring the stresses of modern warfare.

This holistic approach addresses critical aspects of health that go beyond physical fitness, recognizing that a soldier’s mental and emotional well-being is equally important for mission success.

Key objectives of the H2F System include:

  • Enhancing physical and cognitive performance.
  • Reducing injury rates across the force.
  • Streamlining rehabilitation efforts to ensure faster recovery.
  • Fostering resilience in soldiers to cope with the physical and psychological demands of their roles.

Serco’s Role in the H2F Program

Under the contract, Serco, in partnership with HigherEchelon, Hyperion Biotechnology, Resolution Think, and The Geneva Foundation (collectively known as Team Serco), will deliver a range of services to support the H2F initiative.

These services include deploying over 350 certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches (SCCs) and Cognitive Performance Specialists (CPSs) to 45 Army brigades across 15 locations in the continental United States.
